Real Estate Commission's Continuing Education Requirements

SC Continuing Education Requirements:

Salesperson and Broker licensees who have an expiration date of June 30 (every two years), will need to complete 6-hours of Electives and 4-hours of mandatory Core continuing education courses to enable them to renew their credential.

Brokers-in-Charge licensees must complete a mandatory 4-hours Broker-in-Charge, 4-hours of Core, and 2-hours Elective continuing education courses to enable them to renew their credential. This is due every 2 years based on your expiration date on June 30.

Exemptions are given for some qualified individuals if you apply. Find out more through the Real Estate Commission Website.

CE BROKER is the website used and preferred by SC LLR ro renew your license. You can use the free account and do not need to pay for an upgraded account. This website will typically open up for renewals around the first week of May each year. https://cebroker.com/

North Carolina Continuing Education

RequirementsIn order to renew your license on active status, you must complete eight (8) hours of continuing education (CE) during each July 1 to June 10 license period.

For brokers who DO NOT HAVE BIC Eligible Status, four (4) of the required CE credit hours must be obtained by completing the General Update course prescribed by the Commission. The subject matter of this course will be changed by the Commission each license year.

For brokers who HAVE BIC Eligible Status, four (4) of the required CE credit hours must be obtained by completing the Broker-in-Charge Update (BICUP) course each license period.

The remaining four (4) CE credit hours may be obtained by taking a Commission approved elective course. Elective courses may address a wide variety of real estate topics.
