Thank you to every PRAR member who took time to complete the 2026 Member Survey. Your feedback gives the Board of Directors and staff valuable insight into what is working well, where members see opportunity, and how the Association can continue strengthening its service to REALTORS® across York, Lancaster, and Chester Counties.

This year’s survey received 109 member responses, and the results showed a clear message: members value PRAR, appreciate the Association’s communication and support, and want continued focus on education, professionalism, technology, advocacy, and housing issues that affect our region.

Strong Satisfaction and Strong Member Value

Overall member sentiment remains very positive. Among those who answered, 87% of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with PRAR as their REALTOR® association, and no respondents selected dissatisfied options. In addition, 90% said their PRAR membership is valuable or better, reinforcing that members see meaningful benefit in the Association’s programs, services, and support.

Members also gave especially high marks to PRAR’s communication. 95% of respondents who answered said PRAR is effective or extremely effective at keeping members informed with timely updates and information. Email remains the preferred communication tool for important information, with the website and social media continuing to serve as supporting channels.

What Members Value Most

When asked which PRAR services and benefits they value most, members pointed first to the core resources that help them succeed in the profession. The top responses were continuing education, staff support and customer service, MLS access, and legal and industry updates.

These responses confirm that members continue to rely on PRAR for practical, professional, and timely support. Whether it is staying compliant, navigating industry changes, accessing important tools, or getting help from Association staff, members made it clear that day-to-day value matters.

Education, Professionalism, and Technology Lead Future Priorities

Looking ahead over the next three to five years, members identified member education and professional development as the clearest priority, selected by nearly 80% of respondents who answered that question. Other top priorities included REALTOR® professionalism, technology and innovation, broker support, and AI and emerging industry trends.

This feedback will help PRAR continue developing programs that meet members where they are today while preparing them for the future of the real estate industry. As the profession continues to change, members are asking for education that is relevant, forward-thinking, and directly connected to their business success.

Participation Barriers: Time and Scheduling

Members also shared helpful feedback about what prevents them from participating more often in PRAR events, programs, and committees. The top barrier was time constraints, followed by scheduling and family or personal obligations.

PRAR will use this feedback to look for more flexible ways for members to engage. That may include varied program times, concise meeting formats, virtual or hybrid options when appropriate, and strong advance notice so members can plan ahead.

Regional Challenges Remain Top of Mind

Members were also asked about the biggest challenges facing REALTORS® in our region over the next five years. The leading concerns were housing affordability, interest rates, and economic uncertainty. Members also identified consumer perception and trust, industry regulation, inventory shortages, market volatility, and professional standards issues as important areas to watch.

These findings align closely with PRAR’s ongoing commitment to advocacy, housing conversations, and community leadership. PRAR’s recent website content has also highlighted local housing needs and the importance of data-driven solutions for the region, including work around missing middle housing and future housing supply.

Members Support a Stronger Community and Housing Role

One of the most important takeaways from the survey is that members want PRAR to remain engaged in issues beyond the transaction. 84% of respondents who answered said it is important or extremely important for PRAR to play a stronger role in community and housing issues.

That support reinforces PRAR’s role not only as a professional association, but also as a community partner. REALTORS® are on the front lines of housing every day, and member feedback shows strong interest in PRAR continuing to participate in conversations that affect affordability, supply, growth, property ownership, and quality of life across the region.

Building the Leadership Pipeline

The survey also identified an encouraging opportunity for future engagement. When asked about participating in future focus groups, planning sessions, or leadership opportunities, 29 respondents said yes and 36 said maybe.

PRAR will continue inviting interested members to be part of the conversation. Member input is essential to shaping programs, strengthening committees, planning future initiatives, and preparing the next generation of Association leadership.

What PRAR Will Do With This Feedback

The 2026 Member Survey results will help guide PRAR’s work in the months and years ahead. Based on member responses, PRAR will continue building high-value education and professional development programs, explore more flexible participation options, keep email as a primary communication tool, share more updates about advocacy and housing issues, and create opportunities for members to participate in focus groups, planning sessions, committees, and leadership development.

Thank you again to every member who shared their voice. Your feedback is a valuable part of shaping how PRAR serves members, protects the profession, supports our communities, and strengthens the REALTOR® brand throughout the Piedmont region.
