Piedmont Regional Association of REALTORS® (PRAR) President-Elect Quincey Brouillette and CEO Billie Prater represented PRAR at the 2026 National Association of REALTORS® Leadership Summit, held August 24–25 in Chicago, Illinois.

The annual Leadership Summit brings together presidents-elect and association executives from REALTOR® associations across the country, providing an opportunity for incoming volunteer leaders and professional staff to strengthen their partnership, develop leadership strategies and prepare for the year ahead. NAR describes the Summit as an opportunity for association leaders to begin their year with “purpose and momentum” while laying the groundwork for a successful leadership year.

For PRAR, the Summit provided Brouillette and Prater with an opportunity to focus together on the Association’s priorities as it prepares for 2027.

“Strong associations are built when volunteer leaders and staff work together with a shared vision for the members they serve,” said Prater. “Attending the Leadership Summit together gives us an opportunity to learn from associations across the country, bring new ideas back to our region and make sure we are intentionally preparing for the year ahead.”

Preparing to Lead PRAR Forward

The Leadership Summit is part of NAR’s broader Leadership Week, held August 23–27 in Chicago. Leadership Week brings REALTOR® members and association professionals together to exchange perspectives, strengthen leadership skills and collaborate on initiatives that advance the real estate industry and the communities REALTORS® serve.

The Leadership Summit specifically focuses on the partnership between an association’s president-elect and association executive. Programming features leadership development, forward-thinking strategies, relationship building and practical lessons designed to help incoming leaders turn their vision into action.

For Brouillette, who will serve as PRAR President in 2027, the experience supports the transition into his upcoming leadership role while providing national perspectives that can be applied locally.

“PRAR’s strength comes from listening to our members, understanding the challenges facing the real estate profession and making thoughtful decisions about where our Association is headed,” Brouillette said. “The Leadership Summit is an opportunity to step outside of our day-to-day responsibilities, learn from leaders throughout the REALTOR® organization and come back prepared to serve our members even better.”

Bringing National Ideas Back to the Piedmont Region

Participation in national leadership programs is one way PRAR works to ensure its members remain connected to the broader REALTOR® organization while keeping the Association focused on the needs of REALTORS® in York, Lancaster and Chester counties.

Lessons and ideas gained through the Summit will complement PRAR’s ongoing strategic planning and leadership development as the Association prepares its programs, advocacy efforts, education and member services for 2027.

PRAR remains committed to providing members with strong professional support, relevant education, timely industry information and effective advocacy while continuing to build partnerships throughout the communities it serves.

By investing in leadership development today, PRAR is preparing to continue that work in 2027 and beyond.
